Photos and data

A player's portrait is the image Wikidata lists for the person carrying their BWF player id (property P3620, image P18), when that image is on Wikimedia Commons under a free licence: CC BY-SA 4.0 (339), CC BY 4.0 (116), Attribution (59), CC BY 2.0 (38), CC BY-SA 2.0 (32), CC BY-SA 3.0 (27), CC0 (13), Public domain (11), CC BY 3.0 (11), GODL-India (4), CC BY 2.5 (1). The author and licence sit under every portrait where it appears; the list below links each file's Commons page, which carries the full licence text. Players without such an image get a monogram tile in their team colours; we never use BWF, agency or broadcast pictures.

Match results, draws, tournaments and rankings are read from BWF's public results feed (the one bwfbadminton.com shows) and compiled by Badmintok into the record book; the counting conventions are on the ask page. Dates of birth come from Wikidata. Badmintok is a fan project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Badminton World Federation.

Flags are our own simplified SVG drawings. Type: Anton and Barlow Condensed, both under the SIL Open Font License.
